Live from the Candian Pain Society meeting! We live-tweeted from the Canadian Pain Society’s annual scientific meeting from May 11-12. Based on responses from our community, we attended the sessions about pain and the gut microbiome, hot topics in pain, and advocating for the better treatment of pain. Baring it all at the EULAR Congress – We will be attending the EULAR Congress to share the results of the Baring it All report about the sexual and reproductive health needs of women+ with inflammatory, rheumatic, and psoriatic diseases. Rachael Manion, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Psoriasis Patients, will be presenting the team’s work on June 3 at the 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. session. Disability and Reproductive Health during COVID-19 – Researchers at the University of Toronto in partnership with the Disabled Women’s Network are running a study to better understand the reproductive health of women and trans people with disabilities living in Canada during the COVID-19 pandemic. End the Wait for Arthritis Care in Ontario – In the lead up to the Ontario election, the Arthritis Society is advocating to let the running parties know it’s time to end the wait for surgeries and care. Check out their campaign and consider sending a message to local candidates in your area!
Third COVID-19 shot+booster – Did you know that some individuals who are immunocompromised are recommended to get a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to complete their primary series, followed by recommended booster doses? The Ontario government has developed a poster to help people understand their eligibility for the COVID-19 vaccine. Check out the poster on our COVID-19 resource page!
