Early in 2024, we worked with two occupational therapy students from McMaster University to launch a survey to understand how people with arthritis use assistive devices and life hacks in daily life. We received close to 250 responses to the survey and the infographics below highlight a number of key survey findings, such as:
-
- who responded to the survey
- what assistive devices people with arthritis used in different activities (e.g. kitchen, for mobility and in the car, bathroom), and
- the kind of advice people received from healthcare providers around assistive devices
We hope that the survey results help you identify which assistive devices could be helpful to you in daily life.
