The HARPTA (in-Home Augmented Reality Physical rehabilitation Tool for an Aging population) research team in the School of Rehabilitation Therapy at Queen’s University (Afolasade Fakolade, Assistant Professor and Dr. Manuela Kunz) are sharing information about their new research study.

The aim of the study is to explore how an augmented reality tool can be used to support in-home rehabilitation for older adults who have undergone a total joint replacement procedure.

They are looking for: adults who are at least 65 years old and have undergone a total joint replacement procedure and family caregivers who provide unpaid assistance (e.g., physical, emotional, or informational help) for a family member or close friend with a total joint replacement.

Please view the attached a flyer and a short video about the study here: Watch my Powtoon: inHome Augmented Reality System for Rehab

Please feel free to reach out to the researchers if you or anyone within your networks you know might be interested in participating in this study.
