Arthritis at work Twitter Spaces event

We’re excited to offer our first-ever Twitter Spaces event on October 12 from 7-8 p.m EDT to recognize World Arthritis Day.
We are working with Creaky Joints Canada and Take a Pain Check Foundation to talk about navigating the workplace with arthritis with panelists Michael Kuluva, Natasha Trehan, and Annette McKinnon. Sarah Shaw, Senior Manager of BIPOC Community Outreach at Creaky Joints, will be moderating the discussion to share the lived experiences of panelists across life and career stage. We will also be co-hosting a #CreakyChats Twitter chat tomorrow from 7-8 p.m. EDT, to start the discussion about arthritis at work!

What have we been up to?

Meet our new patient partners in research! In June, we launched a new patient partner in research training program to expand our community to meet increasing demand for patient partners. We are pleased to introduce our first cohort of learners and patient partners in research – learn more about them on our website!

Coffee for CAPA – Our first fundraising campaign is complete and we are so pleased with the results. Many thanks to Sparkplug coffee and our supporters for their contributions and for increasing awareness of the impact of arthritis on our lives.

Arthritis Awareness month special –  Our work to improve the lives of arthritis patients was highlighted in this special Bones, Muscles, and Joints issue about arthritis. You can also read a Q & A with fashion designer, Michael Kuluva, and learn about other topics like cardiovascular health!

Let’s make Rheum for Youth! It’s not too late to take this survey to better understand the needs of youth and young adults with rheumatic disease. Please take a few minutes to complete our short survey (only 5-10 minutes) so we can develop educational resources and advocacy plans to meet your needs.
