Researchers at the University of Saskatchewan are conducting a study to learn more about individual’s experiences with cannabis for osteoarthritis pain, and to determine the levels of cannabinoids in the bloodstream with various cannabis products and formulations.
They are looking for patient volunteers who are currently using cannabis to manage arthritis pain for this study. The study involves completing two surveys about experiences with cannabis and what dose/formulation ones are using, and then conducting a home blood-spot test (similar to a home blood glucose test for diabetes) to determine the levels of cannabis in the blood and whether this correlates with perceived effectiveness and side effects of cannabis.
