This presentation was developed and delivered by Laurie Proulx, Managing Director of the Canadian Arthritis Patient Alliance which draws on her lived experience growing up with juvenile arthritis and her experience in contributing patient perspectives to pharmaceutical policy. She spoke at the Forum de l’industrie de la santé de Québec (FISQ) in December 2025 about the challenges that children, adolescents, and young adults face in accessing safe and effective medications — and the opportunities to strengthen how pediatric treatments are researched, evaluated, and governed.
