In April 2019, The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto shut down its Motherisk program. The Motherisk program, initially established in 1985, provided information on the safety of medications and substances during pregnancy. In May, the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC) announced in the CMAJnews that it is hoping to create a similar resource.
