CAPA believes that people need to have access to information and research to be able to find their voice and help take control of their disease. We developed these tips for chronic pain based on the responses to a survey in 2018 and a Twitter chat held during National Pain Awareness Week in 2021. In this resource, we present the experiences of people who completed the survey or participated in the Twitter chat using quotes. You can access the conversation by searching Twitter using the hashtag #CAPAChat and
#NPAW2021.

This resource has been reviewed by the CAPA Medical Advisory Committee and Lene Andersen, a writer and person that lives with rheumatoid arthritis. Please consult your healthcare provider about your specific situation.
